  • Our infant room is designed by our emphasis on the individual need of each infant. We provide the utmost security, love and nurturance for the little one in our care. Planned activities provide ample opportunities for exploration of a stimulating and safe environment. All of our materials are selected to provide a variety of natural learning experiences for your infant through manipulation and sensory awareness, Language development is emphasized with planned and spontaneous opportunities for communication between the staff and children.

    The center keeps a written record of each child’s activities during the day in each in the following areas:

    a. The amount of time the infant has slept

    b. The diaper changing and any irregularities in the child’s bowel movement

    c. The achievements towards and developmental milestones

    In order to prevent the spread of illness, all toys in the infant room are disinfected after each use. This is accordance with state guidelines. Families are to furnish the following items listed on the supply list for their infant.

  • At GNLC, we provide relaxing and loving atmosphere for this age group to grow. Our consistent daily routine will help then young children become familiar with their surroundings. Our day consists of group time, when we have story and calendar time and discuss a vast array of topics. After morning snacks we break off into station in the learning center, where children are put into small groups. The learning center provides your child with many different activities to promote growth of their large and fine motor skills. At this time we implement the Frog Street Toddler curriculum, where your child will learn to count, identify color and shapes, work on puzzles, build block, and play with play dough and colors.

  • At Goodnews Learning Center, we strive to provide your child with the best possible learning environment. These children also thrive maintaining routine in their classroom setting. So their day consists of music, fine and large motor activities, calendar time and learning centers. At this age children learn by develop new skills everyday. We encourage our student to fill their minds with imagination and spend their time,pretending, playing with dress up clothes, and using props and puppets. We also implement the Frog Street Pre-k curriculum into our daily schedule.

  • Our school agers are provided a safe and loving environment before and after school. Our staff provides small group time in the morning before school, where the children are involved with weekly activities. We also provide a morning snack before the children are taken to school. After school the children are given a light supper and then they have quiet time to work on their homework and read. The children also are given some outside time and have a variety of activities to choose from.

    Throughout the summer, holiday breaks, and other days that school is out, they may go on a variety of field trips outside the center, such as bowling, skating, the museums, parks and movie theaters etc.
